When S&M unveiled the first BMX frame to feature an integrated headset over 10 years ago, it was met with puzzled looks and optimism alike; would it be that much easier to install? Would it be expensive to convert from Aheadsets to integrated? Where did this revolutionary design come from? Let’s have a quick recap… Continue reading →

It’s been a while since I’ve sat down an done another Drawing Board article, so for this one I thought I’d do a big one. The Integrated Headset has to be one of the most practical, cost effective and simple solutions to ensuring that your bars turn and spin like they should do, and despite the simplicity of the system we use today, its taken a long time for BMX to adopt a system that truly works.
I decided to do some re-search and hit up the man responsible for bringing the Intergrated Headset into the norm, S&M Bike‘s Chris Moeller…

Stolen Bikes‘ 2014 catalog just went live. Plenty of interesting look completes this year, all stacked with a variety of their aftermarket components to keep things running tight. The most notable addition to this year’s lineup is a whole range of aftermarket 24″ specific products including a Frame, heat-treated fork, wheelsets and even a larger size of their Joint Tires. I’m also kinda into the coloured Tires on the Casino model, no doubt a bit of AK influence there. All these bikes and products will be available in the next few weeks. Be sure to head over to the Stolen website for more details and info.
Mutiny Bikes have been posting sneak peeks of their new products for what seems to be an eternity now, and after a long wait their much anticipated 2013 product range is finally cropping up around the globe. The main additions this year have to be Mikey Luplow’s signature Doom Wizzard Frame, larger 8.7″ Manroid Bars, refined Lifted Stems and a full range of Tripod Seats and Posts. Mutiny have always been on point with their colour palette, and this year the choices been slimmed down somewhat but still leave you with the classic Black, Raw, Chrome and White.
As is often the case, the first place to receive the new goods is Australia and our friends at Strictly BMX have them all up on their website and available for you to check out and order right HERE. The rest of the world should expect to see all of these new products within the next month. I’m really into what the guys have done with this year’s products, slimmed down the vast amount of colour choices and leaving you with a dialed selection of parts to suit a huge variety of tastes and riding styles. Good job Mutiny.
