Exclusive – BSD Safari Pedal Promo and Interview

BSD make pretty much every part under the sun, but until now they were lacking a pedal in their extensive range of simplistic and well designed parts. Unless you have been sleeping under a rock this year, you will have noticed that Reed Stark is an absolute animal on a bike (check the above promo for proof of this), but many of you dont know how much into product design he actually is… BSD always work closely with their riders on their signature products so when Reed had an idea for a pedal, he sat down with brand owner Grant Smith and they came out with a simple but unique design which was the perfect answer for what good pedal should be.

The Safari Pedal just hit the shelves so we decided it would be greta to not only premier the promo video, but to hit up Reed and find out more about the pedal and what went into designing it. Check it out… Continue reading

BSD Safari Pedal available now

Reed Stark’s signature Safari Pedal from BSD is now available. Head over to the BSD site for more info on these super grippy badboys!

“Reed has been talking about this pedal idea for as long as he’s been on BSD. He noticed that when a bike falls to the ground, the corner pins on plastic pedals grind and break off. The Safari pedal is designed with extra pins in these high impact areas to ensure the pedal stays grippy after withstanding severe abuse. The optimal pin placement, hexagonal pin shape, and knurling all combine to make this one of the most durable, effective plastic pedals in the market.”

Odyssey Crackled Pedals

Odyssey never fails to disappoint with their pedal colorways. These Crackled PC Pedals will be out soon in Black, Green and Orange. Kinda looks like molten glass or some wild Lord Of The Rings prop but will be available from your local Odyssey dealer real soon.

The Union- Products: Vol. 113

For the 113th week running Kurt from The Union brings you a look into 5 popular components of which you could do worse than running on your own bike.  This week we get a glimpse at the new Raptor freecoaster from The Shadow Conspiracy, the limited edition French flag colourway Mini and Elite hubs from Profile Racing, the Octave fork from Sunday Bikes, the plastic Butter pegs from Cult, then we will wrap things up with the bearingless Senec plastic pedals from Kink.  Head over to The Union for more on these great parts.

Spotted – BSD Safari Pedal

Reed Stark is being graced with a signature pedal from BSD dubbed the Safari pedal. It seems to have a bigger platform than most pedals, with a generous amount of pins to keep your feet on the pedals. Look out for the Safari Pedal to be out in July along with a few new products the boys in Scotland have been cooking up…
